1. Appointments
A. Appointments may be coordinated (scheduled) between Johnson Irrigation LLC and the customer as desired. Appointments may have a time arrival window given (IE: 1-2pm) or a general timeframe (IE Afternoon or Late morning), the tech or other person will generally call, text or email as preferred by the customer when en route to the property or if there are delays that exceed the time frame given. If for some reason we are unable to maintain our schedule as occasionally happens we will attempt to re schedule.
B. Depending on the service we may or may not need access to various restricted areas of the property such as garages, backyards, etc, this may require having someone home or able to meet us to grant us access. We will try and establish this during scheduling of the appointment. Failure to have access may result in us not being able to complete the service and may result in a missed appointment fee or additional time charged if someone is late.
C. We require all appointments to be confirmed either at the time of scheduling or within twenty four hours of the appointment. Unconfirmed appointments may be skipped at the technician’s discretion if we cannot make contact day of. Our system will automatically generate (johnsonirrigation@gorilladesk.com) a reminder email seven days before and twenty four hours before the appointment, if you do not receive these it is an indication that the appointment is not confirmed. If you wish to re schedule or cancel please respond to that reminder email.
D. We respect and understand that plans can change and appointments need to be re scheduled, there is no cost to re schedule provided that: 1) It is not within twenty four hours of the original appointment, and 2) It is the first request to re schedule. If it is within twenty four hours of the appointment or it is after the first request to re schedule we reserve the right to assess a fee or cancel the work all together.
E. In some cases a person may be scheduling an appointment on behalf of another person or entity. In respect to that if you are scheduling an appointment you agree that you are properly authorized to do so.
2. Standards of Work
A. All work will be performed in a professional workman like manner with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
B. Materials provided and installed are in accordance with what was agreed upon.
C. We appreciate customers involvement, customers may provide their own materials or labor as agreed upon, we accept no responsibility for defects resulting from this. Any required corrective work will be billed time and materials or as otherwise agreed upon.
D. Materials will be installed and used per manufacturer’s recommendations and as required by code.
E. If in the course of our work we discover anything that raises a question of safety or being not code compliant we will bring this to the customer’s attention.
F. We guarantee our work generally for ten years on parts and lifetime on workmanship. The exceptions to this are any part that is electronic (IE smart controllers). We reserve the right to void this warranty if we are not the party winterizing the irrigation or if another’s actions caused the failure. Individual warranties may be implemented on a case by case basis and would supersede this.
G. Damage to components can occur, most notably backflow preventer handles and shutoff valves. If we find that we cannot operate a component or in operating it cause damage due to age or neglect we will notify the customer immediately with a appropriate course of corrective action. We do not accept any responsibility for damage due to but not limited to age, poor installation, age or neglect.
3. Estimates
A. ALL estimates verbal or written are plus sales tax.
B. A written estimate of the work to be performed may be requested for review before work is commenced. The technician or estimator has the authority to choose the appropriate course of action if that is a hard estimate, time and materials or a not to exceed (NTE), for small service calls this may be communicated verbally to the customer for approval.
C. We do not expect deposits expect where special order materials are required or other sub contractors require them as part of the scope of the work.
D. Estimates and associated plans and documentation are considered property of Johnson Irrigation LLC, distribution of these without consent is prohibited.
E. A ‘ball park’ estimate may be requested or given without site visit with respect to installations and repairs at no cost, this allows us to establish a budget with you and see if we are good fit for each other. Some estimates require an on site visit to assess project feasibility or diagnostic work we reserve the right to bill for this time as agreed upon.
F. All estimates are good for one season (March through September) or unless otherwise agreed upon.
G. As already stated an estimate may be a hard estimate, time and materials or not to exceed.
4. Account Receivable/ Invoices
A. It has always and will remain our goal to take care of as many customer’s needs first and invoice later as need be.
B. When the work is completed and the customer has accepted the completed project we will invoice. If the customer is not home we will delay invoicing until we can confirm that the project was accepted by the customer.
C. We expect full payment within twenty one days after that we reserve the right to assess a 1.5% per month interest fee until the invoice is paid in full.
D. Per Washington State Mechanics Liens; in respect to unpaid invoices after preliminary notices we will file a lien with in ninety days and enforce within eight months, there are NO exception under any circumstances.
E. Invoices can be paid by credit or debit card, check or cash in person or by calling the office and giving a credit or debit card.
5. Miscellaneous
A. We treat our customers, vendors, suppliers and everyone we come in tact with as we would want to be treated. As such we do not tolerate discrimination, racism, harassment or intimidation from customers, other contractors, vendors, etc. As a result we may stop work immediately, and take appropriate action to protect our employees.
B. We respect and understand that mistakes and accidents happen and this can leave a customer and contractor at odds. We respect you may wish to leave an honest review but we will not tolerate libeling in online reviews and will report and request these be removed les we seek legal action.
C. We reserve the right to update, modify or change this document at any time without notice. A written copy may be requested.
D. This document is not meant to supersede other contracts that may be in place.
E. All estimates and invoices include a link to this document. IT is up to the user to review the document and refuse it if so desired.
